Vanilla Latte Protein Shake (V, GF)

Calling all busy girls (and guys!)–have your breakfast and your morning coffee together in the same glass! This Vanilla Latte Protein shake contains brewed coffee, vanilla protein powder, almond milk, banana, and a pinch of cinnamon. I also threw in a pitted date for a little bit of natural sweetness. This shake is perfect for busy mornings on the go or a great post-workout drink to replenish lost nutrients and build and repair your muscles. It tastes like a blended iced coffee—minus the sugar and cream, plus a serving of protein and a serving of fruit. Out with the bad and in with the good! It’s also both vegan and gluten free- so anyone and everyone can enjoy it. Not into caffeine? Try it with decaf. It’s so cool, creamy and a tiny bit sweet. It feels like an indulgence, but it’s truly healthy! You could also try this with chocolate protein instead of vanilla for a Cafe Mocha Protein Shake. I bet it’s equally as delicious. Serves: 1

Ingredients: ½ of a frozen banana ½ cup brewed coffee 1 scoop vanilla plant-based protein powder (about ¼ cup) ½ cup almond milk 1 date, pit removed pinch of cinnamon

small handful ice

Directions:
Blend all ingredients in a high-powered blender until smooth. Top with additional cinnamon, if desired.
