This tea starts out with hot lemon water as a base. I mentioned some of the benefits of lemon water in a previous post- but I’m going to reiterate some of the biggies: 1. Warm lemon juice early in the morning flushes out toxins 2. Lemons contain vitamin C, potassium, calcium, and magnesium. 3. Aids in digestion 4. Strengthens the liver 5. Balances pH level of the body 6. Promotes healthy skin and eyes.
In addition to all of those benefits, ginger and turmeric add even more benefits. Turmeric is a powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. Turmeric is linked to healthy heart and brain function. Ginger is closely related to turmeric and provides a lot of the same benefits. It also helps with nausea (especially morning sickness), may reduce muscle pain and soreness, and may help to treat chronic indigestion. So basically, this tea is a miracle worker. There is probably nothing better you could drink to start your day. This tea is my new go-to and hopefully it will be yours too!
